About Silkscreen Prints:

Also known as screenprints, silkscreen printing involves using a tightly-stretched mesh or screen - which was traditionally made of silk - to push paint through in different layers, to create a finished one-off artwork. Silkscreen printing is believed to have originated in China over 1000 years ago and was made popular in the 20th Century by Pop Art pioneers like Andy Warhol. As it is done by hand, each piece is unique.

About Fine Art Giclée Prints:

Our fine art prints are giclée prints which are the highest quality fine art print there is and have the best standard of colour accuracy. We limit our edition runs to 100 prints only and each is printed on specialist museum grade fine art paper - Hahnemüle Photorag - with a weight of 308 gsm.

About the artist:

Jane Davies is a multidisciplinary artist taking inspiration from the world around her - in particular the shapes and textures of the natural world. An early love of drawing and painting has led to learning and experimenting with all types of hand-pulled printmaking - with a particular focus and passion for silkscreen printmaking.

Jane started by creating silkscreen prints in a monochrome colour palette, mainly mixed media prints of abstract landscapes which she created whilst working out of the London Print Studio 2010-2020. A move to rural Dorset has coincided with a new found love of colour, and simple pop art prints of the natural world now feature alongside oil paintings of Dorset's Jurassic coastline which provides inspiration all year round.
