This framed antique botanic print has been hand-framed in Dorset. Total measurement including frame 26cm x 34cm. The overall condition of the print is very good, it may have minor imperfections expected with age.
About the artist:
Edward Lowe was a renowned English botanist, meteorologist and astronomer who published papers on a wide variety of subjects including meteorology, sunspots, ferns, grasses and other plants. Lowe's great interest in ferns led to his studying them exhaustively which resulted in his most noted work of British and exotic ferns.
